I could swear that I saw this plane out at Edward’s AFB back in the early 80’s. This is taking shape nicely!

Thanks guys! Stik, you probably did. It's first flight was in 1984.

I'm just thinking that if I could combine one of these with the pylons and what-not I have kicking around from my Tamiya F-16CJ kit, it might make an interesting what-if.

I have build the same kit. A very nice kit and it really does do the X-29 justice. But as you say , the decals are the main difficulty. They are large and need to be straight on the fuselage.

It is over twenty years old because I remember that I paid 10 Guilders for the kit.
