Carlos, I can recommend this book for some good information and inspiration for this cool, new project. I read it back in the mid-90s for an essay in a history class at Texas A&M.

That looks like a great read Gary. I’ll need to look for it.

Yesterday I was able to get most of the rocket assembled

the upper section has quite a seam where the halves join, so it's gonna take some clean up before I can get to the final assembly and move forward to painting.

Looks like it has real nice detail. I wouldn't feel right working on something that did not require me to do some sort of seem work.

I gotta ask, how do you get your builds to look so clean? Or is that just a testament to the quality of the kit?

Its looking great. Not a subject id ever build I dont think. Wings arent big enough  Looking forward to seeing more though.

Thanks guys!

Brandon, the kit does indeed have very nice recessed detail. State of the art pretty much.

Mikey, I don’t think that my basic builds are cleaner or sloppier than anyone else’s builds on here. But I do appreciate your compliment on that. I’m looking forward to getting more done on this thing, Then I can get to painting and masking for the camo scheme. And if you should change your mind, I do recommend this kit. Takom also makes a very nice V-1 in 1/35 if you want something in the same category, but more “wingy”.

Carlos, looking good, bud. What's your plan to tackle the seam?? :hmm:

Sanding first… if that’s not completely successful, I’ll use some Tamiya putty where needed.

Okay. Thanks for the explanation. Not a fan of Tamiya stinky putty though. I feel it melts plastic as well as is toxic. Might be an old prejudice, of course, like with flat colors as primers.
