Duke Maddog wrote: Sat Aug 23, 2025 4:59 pm Already looking great! Keep it coming.

I also agree that some of these simpler models can be a joy to build due to their simplicity.

Great stuff Carlos - can't wait to see this old Tamiya Classic being built up. This is a killer scheme - one of my favourites on the Viper.

Sweet looking build Chris! I think at some point that I repainted my build from that scheme to the production scheme... probably when I first saw it in an IPMS Journal....

Monogram's F-16A was the third model I attempted after getting back into scale models in the late '80s. It was probably done in late 1988. I finally decided to take pics of her in July of 2021. Not that much to look at, it's been a place-holder that needs replacing with something like this Tamiya kit you're building, Carlos.

Nice Monogram F-16 Gary! :shoutout: I always love your airport photos. I built two 1/48 F-16s as a kid, the original Monogram kit, and the ESCI/Scale Craft kit, but those didn’t survive my mom putting them into storage after I left for the Army. I built a couple more since then… another go at the Monogram kit with a Missing Link Models resin conversion for the European tail parachute pack, and an Academy Thunderbird, which is a really under appreciated kit.

I’ll have to get a family group photo of them all together when this current build is finished. :hmm:

Gary and Carlos - Great looking F-16's Gents! :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:

I've only ever built two - the old 1/72 Airfix and Matchbox kits.
