Love the color. Maybe your carburetor is too high or air cleaner too thick.

Paint looks good. Neat color. You and I seem to have that same problem. I usually use brute force and/or chop off something to lower things. Since no one but me ever sees it, problem solved!
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Perhaps the motor mounts where the engine sits is wonky and causes the motor to sit high?

I agree, that paint is awesome. :shoutout:

I too, have had the air cleaner not fit under the hood at times. I usually sand down the carb to lower the cleaner. But, that is assuming you won't ever see the engine with the air cleaner off. Other wise it defeats the purpose of a nice carb. Great work!! :bow:
