Thanks, Stuart! 🥃 The pasture comprises 32 acres, the rest of our 48 acres are woods. Once we owned 72 acres but sold off a 25 acre tract about 30 years ago now. The grass is mainly Coastal Bermuda grass. A man leases the pasture from me and he does all the maintenance and gets the hay crop. We get a monetary cut of each roll made each year. It's a great arrangement; he gets the hay and we get a great pasture without spending the money on upkeep. 👍 We've had as many was 112 big rolls from one cutting but typically, it's more like 95-100 each time. He spent $8000 the first year he had it on fertilizer and weed control, including 150 tons of chicken manure spread over the 32 acres!

This is one of my favorite random photos that I ever took... end of the shift around midnight at the station gas pumps, and one of the local trash pandas is helping themself to whatever my partners have cleared out of their cars

That's very cool Chris, I didn't know you where in the Navy. Must have been great to be on the carriers back in the days before multi-role everything.

Roger that Stuart. Yes, we had the real planes back then :giggles: I only wish we had A-7's still instead of the lawn darts. We had S-3B, A-6E, EA-6B, F-18C, F-14A & SH-60's

Nice - back when a naval air wing was interesting, and yes, the A-7 would have been cool to see - Love that aircraft. I love the film 'Final Countdown', if for no other reason than to see all the different aircraft types, in full high-viz.

If you don't mind me asking, what was your trade in the Navy. Where you anything to do with the aircraft or were you more on the ship side of things?
