The Pima were native American Indians, I believe. I'm not sure, though. My high school history memories are next to no help, and I'm trying to avoid using Google and going completely stupid by asking a machine to help me. I also believe I've heard my Dad and Uncle Jack use "P. I. M. A." to mean a pain in the backside!

Are those spark plug ignition wires????

Holy cow, there's a lot of detail to this photo!

Did you take this??

Cheers.
Pima air museum is in Tucson, right next to Davis Monathan AFB and the aircraft boneyard there. Yes I took the photo of the engine when I visited the museum a few years back. P.I.M.A. is pretty close to to P.I.T.A :giggles: I presume that the wires on the side of the cylinder are the plug ignition wires.

TGIF everyone! Thanks Stuart, Gary and Carlos for your replies. Stuart, match John’s aesthetics, mate; that’s fine by me. John Eaton held to a very methodical approach with consistent execution, including his presentation; I’ll stage setups from time to time here, but my personal preference is for a mix of closeup detail shots and inserts first which is not John’s aesthetic, so I don’t know if I’ll carry this simulation too far. As long as I’m getting something from it, I’ll keep on trucking.

Carlos, that’s an amazing photo and whether it’s a pain in the or a pain in my, here’s a toast to you, my friend, for being supportive and inspiring. As the toast goes: Champagne for my real friends… (1838 book Jorrocks's Jaunts and Jollities).

I’m going to knock up seatbelts next, which will of course take me several attempts.
