...which is also correct. Protze is a noun while protzen's a verb. And like so often in my language, both are not related to each other even though being spelled nearly identical.

Good old German! English has some similar happenings Words that sound alike, but are spelled differently and have different meanings…

Ya I have a tangential interest in words. Really like creative palindromes. And capitonyms - words that have a different meaning when capitalized. Like polish vs Polish, Turkey vs turkey, March vs march etc. At heart I'm a numbers guy but these linguistics bits I find interesting.

Looks like an interesting little build Carlos. I built the Matchbox one of these back in the 80's and wouldn't mind building this one - I even have a German gun to hang off the back of it.

Stuart I certainly recommend this kit. Or Tamiya has also modified and reissued this kit in a Sdkfz.69 version not too long ago. That one is the prime mover version with sideways beach seating and ammunition lockers in four corners of the cargo area. It also includes their Pak.36 AT gun. If I ever happen stumble across one for a decent price…

Well it towed the single barrel 2cm Flak, so what not the Flavierling?

I’ve been doing small bits of work on this one here and there since my last update back in March. I filled the only ejector pin marks that would be visible and then sanded the putty smooth. I airbrushed on the Dark Gray color back in mid May, then the May AMPS meeting here I added some mud texturing using AK Dried Mud to the undersides of the body parts and the chassis frame





A couple of weeks back I painted the seats and padding using Vallejo Leather, as well as the engine block using Vallejo Natural Steel





This evening I used some pigments to dust the lower suspension frame and body undersides over the dried mud texture…. after that I glued the cargo bed in place.



I haven’t glued the front of the cab in place because I need to add a scratch built item into place… coming soon
