My own version of Gunze Super Iron next to exhaust ports since their Super Metallics have been on backorder for months now. Mica Silver panel just below canopy line.

Couldn't sleep late last night. So I ended up painting the tail rudder red before heading to bed.

Tail rudder is red, French Blue is on nose. Spinner is also painted French Blue (no pic) I'm very happy of how the blue nose came out.

During airbrushing session, a bit of blue spilled on left outer wing flap :headbang: Gonna touch up that tomorrow at some point.

Looking good. The French blue is good match for the early nose colors on the 352 birds. Later on it was a bit darker

Yeah, they are darker in late war. Thank God, I had picked up Blue Noser Tales on eBay 10 years ago or so. When I first heard about the book, I searched on Barnes & Nobles. Long story short, this book was so rare, it’s not available to the public. From my understanding, it was published to preserve the memories for veterans of the 352nd and their families. I got lucky to find it. I even sent an email to one Robert H. “Punchy” Powell regarding a question. Yes he did reply back which is something I will treasure. Not sure if I still have that email saved or not.
