Yesterday i lost an entire day because that annoying pesky thing called work got in the way..
But this morning i got up bright and early because today i intend to get all paintwork done! Plus side is that my primer got more than 24 hours to cure.
I started off with some black preshading:
And just now i applied the initial base colour Russian Green:
Once this has had an hour or so to dry i am intending to use some modulation effects and lighten up the base color on the sides and on top. Should look good once done! So stay tuned today for more frantic speedbuilding. My deadline is coming monday....

Also black based the railroad track base and will proceed handpainting details on the train and tracks. Stay tuned

This morning i completed basic painting, decalling and highlighting:
Also i have been working on the section of tracks:
With exception of painting some very small details i am just about ready to start weathering her up

End of the day progress.
Added drybrushes, pinwashes and streaking.
Next up are rust effects and pigments

This Liquidtex Medium thing; do you use it as a thinner for your paints? Just wonder.

Thank you Thomas. I personally like over the top rustbuckets so especially the tracks look still way too clean to me. You just wait and see!
The liquitex is a retarder. I love working with the vallejo paints but they dry so fast i usually have clogging issues with my airbrush. Adding three or so drops to the mix in my airbrush reduces the problem considerably.
