I'd walk 2.29 miles for that camel.

Is that rigging stretched sprue?m

Duke Maddog wrote:Awesome job on that DH-2! I also built one of those in 1/72 scale, but I rigged mine after it was fully assembled. It was pretty tricky in some places, but I managed to get it done. I don't think mine is as clean as yours though.
This stuff is so frustrating, I really had no desire to rig the whole thing at one time. Nice to have the majority out of the way!

Yup, all stretched sprue.
I cut each piece a bit long and CA one end where it goes...let it set a minute, trim the other end close, but still just a touch long and CA that end.

For the Camel, I put all in place...rigging was still "loose"...I held the whole model about 12" above a candle, the rising heat tightened the sprue up real nice.
Tried that with the DH-2...it took care of a few...a few got too hot and had to be replaced...I finished off the rest that were still loose, by holding an old exacto blade in the candle flame then held it under each "wire" till they tightened up.

That sounds like an easy enough method, if time consuming, to rig up a bipe... Thanks for the quick how to Fermis.

Borg...the only thing extra I did on this was the rigging and replaced the tail skid.
I really wasn't intending on rigging it, but figured it would be good practice for this one....

Eduards 1/72 Airco DH-2
Main structural rigging for wings is done. Figured it'd be a lot easy to knock these ones out before installing the tail.
