I've made some significant progress on the Prowler with filling and sanding. Added a piece of plastic in the hole and filled and sanded it. Needs just a bit more work. Working on fairing in the resin parts on the tail. Coming along nicely.

I started checking the fit of the resin wings. I cut the casting blocks off and checked for fit. This is going to be some work to fair in. Well of it doesn't work, I still have the kit wings that I can fall back on.

You're shooting for folded wings?

Yeah that's what the resin wings are for. The kit wings don't allow for folded wings.

I remember building the old Revell 1/32 scale Baa Baa Black Sheep F4U Corsair kit that you can have wings move folded or unfolded. What a nightmare that was as a kid.

There were several kits from that era that had workable folding wings. The 1/32 Revell Corsair and Wildcat both had that. I want to say that their 1/32 F-4J Phantom also had that feature. Man it's been way too long to remember from when I built that one. Monogram's 1/48 Corsair, Wildcat, Hellcat, Helldiver, Avenger, and Devastator also all had working folding wings. After too many foldings and unfoldings they all eventually broke and had to be glued into flying position for playing...

And it didn't take long for the fold mechanism on the,Wildcat and Hellcat to snap
