Man that Convair is a weird looking little aircraft - you've done a great job with it. I love the little base.

Well, I'm late to this party. Indeed, I agree with Bruce, I am thrilled you are here and showing your technique. I also think your work rates far higher than a fifteen. I build aircraft exclusively in 1/72 scale like you do but I have never been able to achieve the results that you have like those gunsmoke streaks on the wings. That puts you far above me on the Masters scale.

The Convair looks magnificent and I do love the small bushes you applied to the base. I commend you for your use of a sponge; maximum utilization of available resources is great! I highly endorse Bruce's ideas for varying the color and adding small mounds.

Congrats once again on getting such incredible results on these amazing aircraft!

She’s a real beauty, and I do like that base. My only suggestion would be on any future desert bases to use a lighter color on the brush. Most desert scrub is usually lighter in tone and varies from grayish to medium green... except for brief periods in spring when the desert can explode in colors....

The new competition had started. Currently I have 4 starters at "x-planes around the world ":
XF-5U, X-29, OKB-2 346-III, EWR VJ 101.

And that happened during last week with the X-29. I Really like that aircraft.














If you are wondering why I used black primer for a white plane it is to give the white more deepness and a subtile effect. Lessons learned from the tiny Convair...

Those forward swept wings on the X-29 are such a unique feature! I remember seeing this aircraft on display at an Edwards AFB Open House/Air Show many years ago. I will enjoy watching this new project of yours! I like how you added the foil on the cockpit sidewalls.
