Thanks, Tom. Hope you have a good cruise experience.
Sailed out of NYC. At sea for 2 days, arrived in Bermuda Wednesday morning and sailed out of Bermuda Friday afternoon. Took a glass bottom boat ride, bus tour of the whole island, went to a festival Wednesday night in Hamilton (20 minute ferry ride; $7 each way per person), did some shopping. The only regret I had was not getting Black Seal Bermudian Dark Rum.

We did go to Horsehoe Bay Beach fora few hours, relaxing on pink sand and a swim in the ocean. Lost count after 5 of getting salt water in my mouth from the waves. Yeah, lots of good sized waves to ride and float on.

Damn Bermudians got it all wrong.... drive on the wrong side of the road & steering wheel.onwrong side of all vehicles  :giggles: Oh yeah.... roads are narrow. That's why you can't open windows on right side otherwise you'll get your arm clipped off.

Lots of scooters than automobiles too. People are friendly and helpful.

Norwegian Getaway cruise ship is a beautiful ship. Food is endless and very good. Specialty restaurant we ate at were La Cucina (Italian), Brazilian Steakhouse - forget the name of restaurant, and Cagney's Steakhouse. I loved Cagney's Steak house the best of the 3. Other nights we either ate in complimentary dining rooms or buffet. Alcohol served all day everyday. :giggles:

Were not much of drinkers but their strawberry daquies were great. Attended a few shows every night... Back.to the 90s, Rumours a play about Fleetwood Mac. (very good show), saw a couple comedian shows, gambled, jewelry seminars - I won two necklaces for the missus. Last night of cruise, they raffle off a free cruise for 2. Didn't win that one obviously :bored: :giggles:

Bermuda is nice but would I go again? Probably not. I prefer to go island hopping than stay in one place.

Would I go on a Norwegian Cruise line? Absolutely! One of the better cruise ships out there. I highly recommend taking the Norwegian cruise.

Looking into going on a Norwegian Eastern Carribean cruise in 2027 - as a retirement gift for me & the missus since we're both retiring in 2026 (she in June 2026, I'm retiring at the end of December 2026)

Tom that sounds like good, quick trip. Wife and I did a seven day on Princess last fall. Just booked a nine day on Celebrity this September. Island hopping it is. Domincan, St. Thomas, Antigua, St. Kitts, St. Lucia.

That sounds like a cruise I'd take. On our honeymoon back in '94, we took Carnival cruise to St. Thomas, St. Martin, Martinique, Dominica, and Barbados.

Well after keeping a look out for a couple of years, and missing out on two recently on bidding, I've finally managed to find a kit I've wanted for years, and for a decent buy-it-now price - Tamiya's boxing of an early 105mm M1 Abrams.

Oh yeah... I did that kit years ago back in the late 80s, early 90s.
