Sorry but I like writing these massive replies to your work because the skill and creative solutions are always fascinating to me. I halfway promised Thomas Mayer that I would learn German and that is still very much in my mind. I’d like to ask about:

1. Pilot of 117. How. Did. You. Paint. Him? So good. He looks realistic, and has even a look of concentration on his face! Bravo.
2. How do you cut and fabricate styrene? Do you cut with a knife or use a chopper?

I like the wording action plan - sounds very automotive

I made the counter weight linkage off the following components:
• Linkage off PS (polystyrene 1mm)
• Steal sphere ø 3mm
• Crimp contact from automotive (to stabilize the linkage)


The sphere was glued beneath the axis (brass tube) as the balance point of the canards is behind the axis. Then I drilled small holes into the fuselage and added some hot-drawn sprues as end-stop positions for the canards locked by the linkage.
Your replies are always very welcome showing me that as minimum someone around the world is interested in what I am doing. It is an honor for me.
To the F-117 pilot. As it is almost invisible behind the toned windows I just colored it according to Revell’s assembly guide and their Aqua colors (thinned) applied by brush. For the details at head-area I used Copic Fineliners with thickness 0.03 mm and 0.05mm. With those great pens it was possible to add pupils and eyebrows without magnifier. I was pretty surprised how good this pilot came out without spending much time and thousands of techniques. Thanks to Copic.
I always cut styrene by scissors or scalpels (med. /different blade shapes, very cheap at Amazon e.g. in a set of 10 or 12 scalpels). Also a hard flat cutting surface and a steal guide I recommend. Is that the answer you are looking for?

S-58T... I had to look that up... I did not realize that was the civil designation of the turbine engined H-34... and that was our old SAR bird Air 5 when I started on the job 30 years ago...
