That looks superb! What a finish! Almost a velvet or suede look to the primer...

After seeing the photo of MiG “One Shot” Primer I am tempted to scrap my black undercoat plan of gloss lacquer black in favor of the satin tones of “One Shot.” I lost a few hours the other day to a build documentation of the P-51 in 1/48. What was so amazing was the similarity to your project—the build dissolved into the search for historical documentation, parts manuals, photos of old husks of wings and cockpits inside barns, sketches and written records—the build grew to be about the Mustang itself! That to me is the boon which arrives when reading a proper build log. You breathe the same air here.

I've been wanting to try that Stynylrez. I haven't found any yet. I do still need to be paid though. Nice work Kari!

Thank you everyone!

I am having a pretty intensive travelling period in my work, resulting in practically no hours of benchtime.

I’ve been interested in priming in black. I’m excited to see what happens with this one when you start painting!

I do or use very much black basing method, but with this Fw-190 that will not be so visible due to the fact that the (red) paintwork was very fresh. In other words will be very very subtle panel lines coming through.

Below one of my shelf queens, Eduards 109 G-6 and the (hopefully) visible results with blackbasing.

This build was supposed to be in Finnish Airforce markings... ordered AM decals, but.. waiting for "better days" in the shelf...

Nice Gustav! Incredible finish.

Minimal. Bold.

Thanks Bruce!

Hoping I'll have some quality time at the bench this weekend to continue with the captured butcher bird!
