Nice pics Bruce. Thanks for posting them here and keeping this Thread going. I did manage to get some small progress done, but this update is more about some of the stupid issues that keep happening to me to slow me down.

Some time back I tried shooting another coat of blue on the wing that I had sanded down before. It fell down and got a lot of debris on the bottom of it, just like had happened to my 737. This time, I left the debris to dry in place:

Once it was dry, I simply wiped it off, flaking it away. Lesson learned:

Just another coat of clear to smooth that out and I'll be able to move on. Hopefully some time this coming week I'll be able to get this going again. Thanks for looking in. Comments and pics are always welcome.

It’s reassuring to read that I’m not the only one who experiences such misfortunes... :bag: :headslap:

Man, I feel like it happens to me far too often! I see so many people just breezing through builds seemingly effortlessly with the occasional hiccup, but I have this happen five times out of every six efforts to complete a step.

Okay, further progress will hopefully happen on this during the week so I can finally get it done. I surely want to get this to Bruce by Christmas, if not Thanksgiving.

Stay tuned....

Thanks John. I got another coat of blue shot on specific parts so now this might be ready for decals. I hope to get them on here soon. Stay tuned.

Well here I am later than expected, but I managed to get some small work done.

I did the radar dome on the night fighting Hellcat I'm building Bruce here:

I need to clearcoat those parts and get the decals on this model.

I also have to say that I lost the metal guns right now. I know they are in the Hobby Room so it's not a major issue. I'll just keep digging and see where I left them. I was hoping to have this done before Christmas, but it looks like you'll get it in the new year Bruce. Hopefully not too far into the new year!

Stay tuned, more to come soon... I hope!

Heh, I was just wondering if the Nightfighter gun barrels were MIA—either you find them or I find another set on eBay, Mark. Thanks for your update! All the best.

That’s looking good! Also- thanks for mentioning the fix for parts dropped when they have wet paint on them. I do that all the time and it always causes me great distress. Now I know what th do (I always Windex they and start over, and that, well, sucks).

I'm always have small parts eaten by the carpet monster. And I have the flat office type of carpet in my garage workspace. I've spent lots of times on all fours, shining a desk lamp onto the floor looking for those tiny missing parts.
