The mounting angle was due to simple laziness or ineptitude. The little kit piece had a bit of a bevel, but I could not get it AND cut the other end. So, I went with straight. The instructions continue to amaze me with their sloppy information. If I get to feeling really frisky, I may try to break it loose. To mount it, I cut it long and drilled a hole in the fuselage. In theory, I should be able to move it. In theory. In a perfect world. Yeah, right.

Got lucky....time to buy a lottery ticket!
I was able to turn the fuel vent and cant it a bit. Good enough.
I am amazed that I 1) didn't break these getting them off the tree, 2) didn't lose them afterwards, 3) was able to glue them to the nose gear door. (probably in the wrong position, but the directions simply show a single dotted line linking the part and door), 4) didn't lose one or both glueing them in place.....

Ugly doesn't do it justice. on top of loosing several small pieces, I knocked over an 8 oz bottle of insta-set CA accelerator. I did find the nose wheel for the A-10 and the missing window panel for the Ventura while looking for the now missing landing light of the A-10.
I'm blaming it on the time change. . . or moon spots, or aliens. Anyway, made some what of a recovery and I'm quitting for the day. Cheers!

Almost didn’t say anyThing, since as they used to say on “Hee Haw”...if it weren’t for bad luck, I’d have no luck at all. Getting tied of only posting gloom, so I may be quiet for while.
Finding the nose wheel and rye window panel was probably a net gain over what went misstng
...

How about using an old t-shirt as a “catcher?” I use a thrice folded old black t-shirt on my table to capture small parts. I use that for all the assembly work. The cutting matt is like a diving springboard!
