Ken! I’m glad you pulled up stakes temporarily and hope you are now permanently safe from the hurricane. Rust Cole and Dirty Rice. This place looks like someone’s memory of a town... well I’ll be feasting my eyes on your latest work—part of me wonders if you would make a “To Go” box of kits, paints and tools to bring with you, a bug out box of sorts. I wonder if the big quake hits would I do the same. Stay safe, bud. More to come. I’ll paint the cockpit by Friday or weekend at the latest.

I was going to actually- I wanted to do the fills in Spare Parts’ wing panel lines, BUT- we could only get a single room. That’s all that was available. No suites. So many people from Lake Charles living in the hotels here. And I already have so many sticks and blades with me to keep away from the kids, there’s no way I could manage working on a model and doing my job remotely and also keeping the putty and model pieces and Mr. Leveling Thinner and magnifiers and tools away from the kids. Plus, adding in their toys and stuffies and the DOG? I couldn’t bring it all with me

Kenny, I'm sorry to hear that but prioities are needed obviously. Thanks to my toolbox and model crate that I use for Hobby Days, I do feel I'm ready if a bug out is needed. Hopefully it never happens though.

Bruce, I am late to agree that milliput is best for that small little gap. Looking forward to seeing this moving forward.

Man, I really needed some time to catch up with this project. But it's well spent. Bruce is enthusiastic like I haven't seen him for months (on plastic that is. Girls and art excepted)!
The shape of this plane is so odd that it's hard to believe that its aerodynamics ever allowed it to fly.

I've always thought the same thing about this aircraft Torben. Very unusual looking aircraft.

And it is good to see good ol' Bruce back at it.

Gents,

1. Ordered Immense Miniatures 1/32 Dan Gurney figure with civilian heads.

2. Ordered Fantasy Workshop / Airscale 1/32 WWI instrument decals. This is the “Airscale” UK brand, and comes with a thin sheet of clear plastic. I’ll most likely add a cover to the plastic part with the gauges sandwiched between pieces, but I’m open to suggestions.

3. Ordered glue and paint as well. I decided to use White Mr Surfacer instead of Tamiya Primer. I also ordered Vallejo “Woodgrain” on a whim. The CA is house brand from Sprue Brothers.

This aircraft is so cool.
