Nice batch of stuff Tom! :shoutout: Just curious as to why you picked up the AK Insignia White in the 3rd Gen Acrylic instead of the Real Colors like the other two AK paints there.

The PBY comes in the markings for the PBY piloted by Jack Reid, 44-P-4, the one that discovered the invasion force on June 3rd, 1942

Ok…. I just couldn’t resist any longer. Had to bust open the newly acquired PBY kit and fondle the contents. Yeah… I’m a plasticoholic pervert. Aren’t we all? :giggles: :lashed:

From the looks of the wing parts, she’s gonna be a big girl once completed. I’m planning on hanging this bird on my ceiling too. One huge plus, it includes canopy masks! :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:

What are the other markings? From what I've read, Midway had the PBY-5s searching to the northwest for the carrier strike force due to their longer range, while the slightly shorter ranged -5As looked for the surface groups to the west and southwest.

Stuff that I picked up this week…

What I do love about these lacquers is that they adhere great to plastic without primer, and once that they have dried and cured you can do any oil, enamel, or acrylic washes over them without a clear coat in between the layers

Must be new stuff I've never seen or heard before. Interesting to check the colors it's included.

Very nice! Now you just need to rustle up a Mk.XIII torpedo in 1/72. IIRC, they only carried one torpedo per plane on that strike.

Scalehobbyist has them, scalemates search only showed both 4 or 5 color set.

I am curious what bronze green is assigned for. I get it for pink salmon as primer and the other colors are self evident.
