Mike I do like the look of those markers!
They're great and pretty cheap on Amazon.

I picked this up over the weekend with a gift card that I had in my possession for awhile.
I hope to get at this one in the not too distant future…

Thanks Tom!
John, no such nastiness on this San Fran… if you’re not familiar with her tale on the first night of the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal she went toe to toe with an IJN battleship at very close range, inflicting considerable damage, and managed to survive, even though heavily damaged herself.

I've read a little bit of history on the San Fran. Untouched with zero damage during the Pearl Harbor attack while moored on Battleship Row, 17 battle stars and the Presidential Unit Citation. Impressive.

She was actually in dry dock, not on Battleship Row during the Pearl Harbor attack, completely downloaded of ammo, and truly a sitting duck, yet as you said, survived undamaged. Her yard period was expedited after the attack and she was returned to fleet service within a short time period. The tanker USS Neosho and repair ship USS Vestal were the only non battleships on Battleship Row on the morning of December 7th. Both moved from their exposed positions between the first and second waves of the attack. Vestal was moored outboard of USS Arizona and damaged when she blew up. Neosho was full of aviation fuel and didn’t get a scratch, but would be sunk at the Battle of the Coral Sea five months later.
