Thanks Kari. To be honest the kit is a very good easy assembly kit. The belts were missing and the radio cables too. Cables and buckles were done off warm extended sprues, belts itself off tamiya masking tape. Bought that kit for 1 bug at Revell's outlet day. So brilliant kit for that price and good base.

Small update: black base followed by Aluminum at the metal sections. Prepared for a very reduced chipping effect.

Looking real good! But don’t forget, most Yaks had a mostly wooden construction of the airframe, like the Mosquito. Check your references on the type before you do the chipping.

Thanks Carlos for your "warning". Copy that. I will mask the metal parts. Then black basing over the aluminum overspray and then camou with chipping. Not too much and not a too dull finish. The Yaks got a layer of wax to optimze surface properties.
