I think you’ve done very well here with the weathering! I like most especially the way you did the bottom of the aircraft. To me that’s just right and it’s something I shoot for and miss often. Nice!

The Dauntless looks great! I was going to ask about the star markings too but I see from the box art that the outlines were handpainted in a lighter shade of blue?

I can't remember where I read it but there's a back story on the crudely painted roundels. There was a yellow band around them at one point signifying aircraft that operated in Operation Torch in the Mediterranean and they were painted over like that very crudely once they reached the Pacific Theater. The USS Wasp had such planes on board.

Actually it was for service in the Med when Wasp delivered Spitfires to Malta. Wasp was at the bottom of the ocean by time of Torch. But Joe wins a cookie for the reason of overpainted yellow outline on the US cockades...
