Yup... that's the one I tried to replicate. Used old cement pieces and large pebbles / rough stones, tree twigs, sand, etc... If my memory is correct, I added bullet holes by heating a tip of a small nail and placed them in various spots on the tank.

That's it!! It was the crashed B-17 diorama. Oh the memories of melting the prop blades enough to bend inwards. And the bullet holes too. It was ugly by the time I was finished with the diorama.

Yeah but it was doing those things that got us to where we are today. Also nothing like getting out the plastic army men with a hastly built model and popping them with the pellet gun

Also demolitions with M-80s were part of my childhood projects. Excited to see how you stage the scene...

Wasn’t allowed M-80s, but regular old firecrackers and a BB gun did wonders! Floki, amazing work.

How did the salt fading go? Can't see the results from that distance.

It's there, just very very light. If you wasn't looking for it you might completely miss it. I guess that's better than over done. My next build instead of using a light or medium grey I will use a lightened shade of the camo paint. I'm thinking that would give a better result. But for only the second time trying this salt fading I'm happy with the outcome. I will get some close up shots up hopefully tomorrow of the tail where it's the most noticable

Great work Clint! Beautiful finish and a great presentation too. What did you use for the aerial wire?
