Fuselage assembled already and painting begun for you Bruce?! Looks like your pulling ahead quite a bit now. Well done my friend!
Let’s see what today has in store for me... :hmm:

Mike, Thank you, Medic. I learn so much from watching you prepare surfaces; even though you build mostly modern aircraft, your approach really helps me focus.

Lyle, I know what you meant! No need to apologize, my friend. My Dad called alcohol “hooch,” and drugs “dope,” and women “dames,” although never in mixed company. With Carlotta we are constantly exploring English language phrases and origins; yesterday was “John Hancock,” “To put your eggs in one basket,” and “Calling the shots.”

Carlos, I think we are pacing well! Plus you have another project ongoing like I do, so really, we are both in a close race.

Mean-hearted harpies are breaking all the laws
Tearing up their girdles and a-burning up their bras
Now the air is dirty and the sex is clean
And your coffee makes my hair turn green

So damn emancipated in your mind and your body
Gonna have to cancel all your lessons in karate
If you can't love a male chauvinist
You'd better cross me off your shopping list

Get your biscuits in the oven and your buns in the bed
That's what I to my baby said
Women's liberation is a-going to your head
Get your biscuits in the oven and your buns in the bed

If anyone has any suggestions about what to use for either the base color on the lower right or lower left, let me know. I sampled both of those using color picker. Some form of yellow green. Help! I do not care which brand, really, prefer Gunze but anything goes. Anything.

A few possibilities using Mr Hobby Aqueous (Gunze) colors...

Keep in mind that the appearance of the color chips varies from vendor to vendor.

Very difficult in trying to match a color using an online image. A book would be better. I trust your eyes but not your monitor.

Beautiful colors, John! Beautiful! Thank you so much for finding those. I hate when I am unable to figure out a base color. I was struggling and ordering ridiculous options. I did color match to a shade of yellow green but “H85, Sail” is such a good, inspired choice. Thank you, thank you so much. *And a very good point about reference material, too!
