Thank you Stuart. I agree 100% about that. And this area will be quite visible, whether or not the canopy is open. It's like the sidewalls in this kit... conspicuous in their emptiness...
A little creative effort goes a long way.

One last bit of scratch work remains... there are two scopes on the coaming for the front IP that are not present on the kit. one left and one right





so I am in the process of creating those now...

Thanks Stuart. I completed the larger right side scope today. Except for installation and wiring. Wednesday I should be able to get them both completed and installed. The days between now and then will be a bit too busy for much, if any, bench time.

Well I got in a half hour or so today... And took some photos of the work so far...

I finished up the smaller left side scope today... glare hood and adjustment knobs added. As well as beveling the edges of the housing

Now I just need to drill a couple holes in the front IP coaming, add wires and install everything... and of course paint them...

Today after my bike ride I did the final work on the scopes and then glued them in place









and then I figured that since I was in this far with the scratch work, I would add the missing scope hood to the rear IP. So I scratched one up from some strip styrene







Tomorrow... painting... yay!

Well Yesterday turned out to be too busy (and hot when I had the free time) to really get any bench time in. So today was masking and painting. What a difference a single coat of paint can make...

a cover/primer coat on the chin side antennas to see how my work went. It's hard to see here, but under a coat of paint I can now see that I sanded a few of them down too much one one side and now need to re-do them.
