Because... “friendly fire” isn’t...
Quick ID in combat is critical for both the shooter and the aircraft. The Sicily fiasco with the airborne troops was one of the big factors in coming up with the invasion stripes used for the Normandy landings.

Ya know...…………...all these years and I never knew that about the red/ white stripes but I was well aware of JV 44 and the planes that it was made up of.

I love the grey scheme on the Gustav! And the Tiger looks ferocious! I remember building a 1/35 Tamiya Tiger I kit as a child... it was motorized and had a wired remote control.

Thanks guys,
John, I think I also built that motorised kit. Well most of it, I recall my father had a hand in it somewhere!

Good gravy! I have to keep reminding myself that this is quarter scale work! Lovely job of the details, Kent. Ya know, I almost was hired on for four days in Oz, end of September. I actually applied and received my visa, and I was planning what books to read on the 22 hour flight. Backing up to the armor, that is also just superb... and I really miss not being able to focus on the Walker Bulldog. Superb work, Kent. (Apologies my reply seems to be all over the map....)

Thanks Bruce,
A pity you won’t make it to Oz. Maybe next time, the door is always open.
