I was out of town and away from my bench on Tuesday and Wednesday so no progress then. But yesterday I finally got the fuselage assembled.





and unfortunately despite all the test fitting and sanding, I still have a bit of a gap behind the cockpit from the added fuel tank. But that should not be too difficult to fill.



And what can be seen of all the added detail inside up front...





Also I did a bit of grinding with my Dremel to thin outbthe cowling edges



Next up... seam filling and clean up...

I have a hammer if that will help. Is it too late to open the fuselage and take a bit off the fuel tank? It is looking more and more like a Fokker killer...coming along nicely.

Congratulations! Your fuselage looks beautiful! I particularly love the cockpit details you added! I was thinking you could cut a sliver of plastic card to fill the tiny gap.

No thanks on the hammer Lyle. A few strip styrene shims and some hot liquid cement and all will be well.

Bruce, that sure is true. All those ILM and other film model makers had to start their craft somewhere...

Congratulations, Carlos! What are your plans filling the tiny gap?

Some strip styrene and hot liquid cement like Tamiya Extra thin or Squadron should do the trick of filling that gap no problem.
