Thanks Stuart. This is an OLD ESCI kit reboxed an bunch of times and has some seriously heave mold separation lines. Still - really like the whole schtick of this rig so I'll get her done.

Well I've FINALLY got the wheels and the drop tanks on the P-39 I've had n a corner of the bench for about 2 years LOL. Another year or so and I may get the prop and guns fitted!

The looks of a build change so dramatically when the gears are on!
Especially those with a nose wheel! NICE!

Who's kit was this (sorry if forgot... but 2 years is... well, can be a long time )

LOL! It's the Eduard kit Kari - the weekend edition. Although the Monogram P-39 is a nice kit too apparently.

Thanks muchly, it does indeed look a lot different with the gear on. It won't be too long before I get the last bits on, as I'm rather looking forward to having it completed on the shelf.

Both look great. I haven’t done an Airacobra kit since the old vintage Monogram kit back in the mid 70s - hand painted camo to boot.

Looking good Stuart! The P-39 was such a sleek design! Too bad the Army Air Corps nixed the super charger for the engine. But down low it was still quite effective.
The Eduard kit looks nice. I’ve only built the Monogram ‘Cobra…. quite a few of them over the years

My last one being the most successful type, a Q as flown by the VVS. Those Russkis were able to get the most out of the type.

Never knew the Russian flew them. Well now, I gotta buy 3 of them.
