Hi Gents,

Wow I haven't build anything for a while  It's about time I picked a few things up again. I have got Robin Olds P-51D on the bench (I think I painted up the interior) along with the Typhoon awaiting finishing.

I've also picked this up...

I got the cockpit painted up last night and the fuselage halves together before I left for work this morning. when I get back I'll post some pictures. It felt good to be creating again.

The kit seems pretty good - It's the old Tan Model kit re-bagged by Tigermodels. The only annoying thing is the lack of things that go bang - any suggestions as to what these things carried in Vietnam? I was wondering about having a Bullpup (or similar) on one wing and something else like a Snakeye under the other.

It also appears to be missing the gun barrels, so these will have to be added - again any suggestions?

Cheers!

Stuart

Hi Stuart! I am not seeing your images from your last post—would you verify the links are visible on your end? My guess is that your links trace back to Scale Modeling Now. Is this where you are storing the images? Thanks in advance, Stuart. Regarding your question, perhaps this will help?

Bruce that's great - That's just what I needed thank you.

Not sure what's wrong with the pictures - they're working ok at my end... :hmm: I'll see what I can do.

Cheers!

What I see on my home computer and on my phone; I am wondering if you see your images because you are logged into the site?

Edit: I removed the screenshot I took of the blank image box.

:hmm: By logged on do you mean on SPAM or where I pinched the pics from? I have tried it on three devices and it still seems to be working. No matter - when I get 5 this evening I'll be uploading my own pictures.

Methinks Scale Modeling Now forbids this; thanks so much for fixing things!

Sorry Bruce – I haven’t time out sort out the pictures for the F-5 yet – I’ll sort them out soon however as I’ve progressed the build a bit along with the Typhoon I was building.

As part of my ongoing RAF 100 project I’ve pulled a parted kit out of the stash this week. Having already built a few bipes and WII beasties I thought it was time to build a jet – so I chose this Revell 1/72 Tornado GR.1.

I hadn’t got very far before. I painted up and assembled the cockpit module. TBH not my best work and I’m certainly capable of painting better now, so I might add a splash of colour and a wash in there to improve things before I sort out the seats.

Image

So far I’ve assembled the main part of the fuselage. I’m not overly impressed with the fit and have spent the best part of an hour already trying to clean up the seams without losing any detail. It was probably a waste of time as it’s so shallow I’m almost certainly going to lose it in the painting.

Cheers!
