Sometimes a good and sturdy epoxy works as well. Something I've had pretty good luck with is JB Weld...the quick stuff which is called JB Quick. It dries in around 15 minutes or so and is pretty strong. The good thing about an epoxy is that it gives you plenty of time to position and verify the correct position of whatever is being put together. Just my couple of cents.

May have to try some of that. I don't have any in house at the moment. Thanks for the information.

happy hunting! When getting restarted this year, I found a kit out in the garage, in the shipping box.

So, today is/was decal day. I, as executive director of the Plastic Piddle Palace, decided I have had enough trying to put parts on this thing that no one but me will every know are or are not there. So, TTTTHHHHHHHHHPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP.

I don't know who made the decals, but they seem thin to me. That or it has been so long since I've tried to apply decals there is a lot of rust. The starboard side has 7 items that are common to both schemes. Four of those folded up on me. I was able to save all but one....the star and bar. Glad the color laser is working.

I have and use decal paper from World Paper (www.world-paper.com). They make clear and white for both inkjet and laser printers. I have had great experience with their paper.

Don't let it get you down Lyle Revell decals don't age well.

No worries! I normally will scan the decal sheet and save it. Bring it into Photoshop, change the blue background to white and print on clear decal paper. Works like a charm. The Revell sheet is somewhat mystifying. They don't see to be degraded. Anyway, using my printed copy.

Huzzah! "Finished" one for the first time in 3 years. It is a twelve footer, to be sure as there was a LOT of rust to scrape off and skills to relearn. My mantra will likely be better than the last one, worse than the next one. I like the A-10 a lot. It is an iconic airframe. I don't think I did it justice. For example, way to much paint was applied, too many panel lines wiped out (not something I normally worry about) and too many fiddly parts that are impossible to place.

I usually look over the instructions, but after this one, I will spend some quality time studying them, looking for gotchas.

It's great work for someone that hasn't done one in a while. Very nice!
