I had some light chipping on the canopy frames but the removal and re-install wiped it out. I'll probably re-do it prior to my final pics. You can do it in a number of ways. You probably want to avoid water on a masked canopy so that would rule out the hairspray method. Any of the other methods should work fine including sponge, colored pencils or the good ole paint brush.

The aerial line was painted brown and the tension spring and isolators light grey. There were little blobs of white glue in front of the spring that were painted black. Here are some pictures of Yellow 3 in my light box since I won't get any daytime photo sessions in during the work week.

Thank you so much for sharing these photographs, John! I keep thinking, “Is there a larger size light box?” There must be. I think it matters if the pipeline to bring your model photography to life is always ready for action. Having the access to create a photographic record of a moment such as this is really fantastic. It truly is. Your work has never appeared better. Wonderful!

Thanks guys! My 24" light box is not ideal for 1/32 scale aircraft models. As you can see, the background is not seamless as it ideally should be. There are bigger boxes available but I had to balance need with available space and 24" is what I came up with. I still prefer doing my finished shots outside so I'll still do that for Yellow 3.

Those outdoor shots are phenomenal, John—or in this case, will be once made! Cheers!!!

My photo studio is wet today so I doubt I'll be able to get any final shots of Yellow 3 today.
