I had some light chipping on the canopy frames but the removal and re-install wiped it out. I'll probably re-do it prior to my final pics. You can do it in a number of ways. You probably want to avoid water on a masked canopy so that would rule out the hairspray method. Any of the other methods should work fine including sponge, colored pencils or the good ole paint brush.
The aerial line was painted brown and the tension spring and isolators light grey. There were little blobs of white glue in front of the spring that were painted black. Here are some pictures of Yellow 3 in my light box since I won't get any daytime photo sessions in during the work week.
