Medic, Thank you! I like yours much more than this one. Being an A-10, she took it in stride. Way to heavy on the paint, but now I know and have some subject to practice with. Good to finish one, but man, use it or lose it.

Bruce - You are too kind! I believe that you are spot on in that no one ever seems happy with a build. Even the best builders will find something they could have done differently or better. The large parts of the kit were okay on fit. It came down to the landing gear for the most part, that gave me fits. My hands have some stiffness in them and not having fussed with something like this for so long didn't help. Onward and upward. the Ventura is next.

Lyle, I think that is a splendid model/ You really did am amazing job, especially given that you haven't done a model in quite some time. Well done my friend!

Very nice Lyle, these old revell kits can be a real pain but you pulled a nice looking model out of it.

Duke: Thank you so much. There was much rust and lost skill here. I consider myself an average builder, at best. I have tried and cannot master the tiny details that so many pull off. I am pretty much satisfied with this one.

Dissatisfaction with one's own work... yes, I know that feeling only too well. I think you did a fine job. I don't think the end result is as important as the process. And if you enjoyed the process and learned some things.. I say that's a success!

This practically describes me to a T as well. I just build OOB and I don't do all these modifications or added details that so many people do to their models, like Kenny, John Kim and other Masters on these boards. I consider myself an average builder as well, so you're in great company!

John Kim's response above mine here is also most important. With all my work; I always have fun because that is what is most important. I occasionally learn something too! Because of that, I feel my models are a success based on that criteria.

Lyle, she came out looking good. Maybe not perfect, but they never are. Except for John... I want to build as good as he does when I grow up. I just don’t ever want to fully grow up.
