And here’s an idea:

I spray the Tamiya Yellow-Green Zinc Chromate stand-in over the silver, right? For maximum yellowing. Then, seal it under Mr. Color Flat Clear. That’s lacquer. That’ll protect it through the rest of the chipping process and keep it Yellow. After that, my wife’s hairspray- she uses the one in the pink bottle with the kangaroo on it, then my Custom Insignia White. Then VERY CAREFUL, DISCIPLINED, CONSERVATIVE chipping.

Sort of like I did with that coaxial cable, yes! I’ll get there. It’ll just take some time.

Okay yeah, tonight I’m gonna delve into enhancing those wheel wells a little bit.

Okay, yeah, I don’t have the materials to deck-out those wheel wells like that. Good news is I can research and source what I need for my forthcoming Hellcat. So it’s all good. And this is a 98% OOB build anyway.

So here we are.

Much more yellow. Tomorrow afternoon I’ll hit it with my Mr. Hobby Flat Clear, then let that set up overnight, and then proceed to coat it with hairspray and then my Custom Insignia White, and chip it better.

Wire is far easier to use for hydraulic lines than stretched spruce. One for constant size, and two for flexibility/malleability.

For a multi layer chipping effect, I suggest you have a look at jkim’s FW-190D build thread. He did some similar work there on that build.
