Progress is still ongoing. Finished the center console and installed the shifter finally. This shifter is meant to replicate the Hurst shifter in my car. I used this shifter from car #2 , pictured below, in my 3rd car as a carryover. Nice short throw shifter it was.
Not to worry about those ejector pin marks on the front floor they'll be covered up by floor mats. Managed to get the gear pattern on the shifter ball.

Very nice! I’ve heard some auto kit builders use actual push pins with white ball as shifters. I did that on one of my car kits years ago.

How the hell did you do the gear pattern on the sifter? Or are you in to carving grains of rice these days?

Thanks Stuart. I just rocked my hobby knife in an H pattern on the top of the push pin and then carved out an L shape off of the H for the Reverse gear. Then I just ran a dark wash into the channels and wiped the excess off.Stuart wrote:Very nice!

BTW....remember those Firestone Wide O Oval tires that are NOT in the box? I'll be taking care of that issue now.
