Keep going, Marius.
I don't know if you want to think about this, but I have seen 1/72 P-51s done with white primer as a base; apparently the white works well with both the silver and the red.

Bruce, it might be an option. But on the other hand I want to finish quickly without any more experiences. There are 25 models planned for this year, and I have finished only 7 so far.

That's my schedule until retirement. I'm 39 now.

All the best to you as well, Torben. I remembered Marius created a schedule for his projects, but nothing prepared me for the shock of such a great number of finished kits in a single year. It can be done! Good luck to you both with your different quests!

Wow, I am really excited for you, Marius! You are on your way to complete more than half by the end of July!! I look forward to seeing the two twin booms -- the XF-11 and the P-38 -- completed in addition to the Matchbox Me 262. Ditto the trio of Mustangs. I think I will be able to finish five models this year, but I would like to understand the basic techniques so my intention is not even quality, per se, it is education... the Horten is my first all plastic aircraft kit, the Z-M Ta 152H-1 and the Aoshima Ta152H-1 are my second and third kits. The Enterprise and the X-Wing will be sci-fI builds and a Tamiya Dornier Do 335 Arrow may be the fifth, if I am unlucky with work. Usually around November there is a production lull that sometimes carries through January.

Fantastic aircraft.
When I look at my list, I am looking forward to finish the XF-11. And also to do the Viggen. In 1987 it was One of my first builds painted according to assembly guide.

Marius, thank you for sharing work in progress photos on the XF-11! So excited! Anigrand Craftswork resin is nice, and your modifications-- creating engines as well as adding details to the open bays-- are incredible.
I appreciate that you keep all your active 2017 Builds in one place, which is what Mark "The Duke" does, too. However, the Anigrand XF-11 is so special and you are modifying the kit so beautifully, I would really like a separate thread on it, but I respect your approach to keep all builds in one spot.
One reason I did a Horten thread was to make the thread a resource for modifications to the kit. It has been proven by modelers such as Fermis and yourself that Horten kits are amongst the most diverse subjects for "What If" as well as genuine detailed platforms for modification, in addition to the weekend Build approach.
Just an opinion, but since I am fascinated with Hughes and his design approach, I am going to use your current build as my guide to building a more accurate kit.

To see any pictures I guess you need to create an account. If you like anything, hit the "danke" button. You can store also answers in English. No issue. There you can also see how I drew the 3D model of the intakes and front wheel and the 3D-printing result.
Once I processing it further I am going to open a new thread here.
When I finished the 3 Mustangs, the XF-11 will be the next one
