I was reading about your aftermarket on your Red 1, John! Wowee! Also, yes, this is all just taped, and held together with friction at this point. Suggestion on the flaps- bevel the inner surfaces on the wings where the flaps connect... then add a matching size half round strip onto the face of the flaps that mates with the wing, leaving a slight step so that it accounts for the wing skin thicknes on the upper and lower surfaces. Do you mean good old fashioned non aftermarket modeling techniques... sprue sounds good, bud.
