Thanks Torben. After my summer dry spell, it’s nice to be finishing stuff up again. I’m gonna deal with those bright end connectors in the next few days.

Thanks Gary. Now that you’ve said you’re eyeing it, I’m looking forward to that Syrian Panzer IV. That is a type you rarely see modeled. Although when you think about it, the Golan in 1967 is probably the last time that Sherman’s and Panzer IVs faced off in combat… 25 years after it first happened at Alamein!

You're very welcome! And the history you described is the exact reason I was drawn to that tank. To think that it was still engaged in combat, and against its historical opponents, in a "whole 'nuther era", was enough to send me searching for the kit. It is rather intimidating with 4 or 5 hundred pieces, including the correct Russian/Soviet machine-gun and nicely detailed. For a history nerd like me, it was simply irresistible!

Yeah, Dragon armor kits can be overwhelming in their parts count. “Why mold it in two or three pieces, when we can make eight or nine separate parts for the same assembly?” seems to be their design philosophy…

I hope that you also have an IDF M50 or M51 Sherman to square off against the Syrian Panzer IV.
