Now I don't mean this question in the wrong way, but it looks like you are dropping in quite a bit of AM on an already super (and not inexpensive) kit... How much are you sinking into this baby pricewise? :Squirrel:

I was going to estimate $229....

Finally some "not engine" progress. Now that I am getting into the kit all I can say is WOW. Great detail and fit. All the stuff form the pit and tail wheel bay and the fuselage halves join perfectly.

Even though this is going to eventually be in the bird, as long as it's still in the "museum", it needed a tray to catch some dripping oil

Crickey! Did someone say WOW earlier - I agree with them.....the cockpit and fuselage work look amazing, and as for the engine - I've seen REAL wasps that didn't look that good!

Love the drip tray BTW...

Thanks guys.

Sad news.... the engine doesn't fit. I think all I'll need to do it take down the tops of the rocker arm covers. Shouldn't even be noticeable.

Nooooo - that's a shame. could you not leave it out on the stand and use the kit engine?

Good lord. I made a newyears resolution to use more AM. But this is taking it to a whole new level! Gorgeous engine though. The tiny detailing is really paying off. Very nice sir
