I think it wil be. It definetly needs some more putty around the wing roots. Then some sanding followed by rescribing. The MPM parts have very thin panel line so some rescribing should be done to make the whole more uniform.
It should be smooth sailing after that ("Do not say that, you will jinx it!" ) All the Academy parts have a real good fit , the wings and fuselage went together easy.

I have some progress to report, I attached the wings and tail planes. Once again the fit of the Academy parts is very good and there is no need for filler.
Since this prototype did not have any guns I also filled the space for the reflector sight.

That´s the kind of attention to detail I like! Well observed!

Thanks! I have been doing quite some research in trying to get it right. First up the basic shape, as said the MPM kit is quite off. But when I dug deeper I found al sorts of little differences between the two prototypes (xxx97 and xxx98). And even the same airframe changed in configuration between flights so I am very meticulous in which photographs and plans I use for my build.

Another small progress report. I am combining the Academy blades with the MPM hub, I made a small jig to get everything aligned.

I am using the cuffed props because I saw several pics of xxxx97 with those.
