I loved that version of War of the Worlds! (I HATE the Tom Cruise version) – I had it as a kid on VHS, I watched it so many times I wore the tape out…

I had the joy to read the H.G Wells book for... must be soon 30 years ago (holy ghost) , and must say, neither movie beats that !
Though if I remember correct, the original movie follows better the storyline of the book. The new movie follows Tom Cruise instead..
