I loop fishing line around the tail of the plane, and hang it on a nail or thumbtack. It really only works for tail draggers tho.
Tail draggers do lend themselves best, for hanging. But...some tricycle geared planes will work as well...
(That Tunnan doesn't really live there...just there for the photo op!)

I guess one has to take care of open windows, for not to see those wall-mounted aircraft scramble (to death)...
