Looks like you can save that Sabre. And add extra detail. Great work!

Thanks. The basic build is ok, but I can see how much mu skills have changed in the years between now and then. I just really want to get the NMF right. My last NMF project before this came out beautifully, but this one has been fighting me once it got to airbrush time...

Thanks Mark. I have been itching to be at my bench seeing all the work you've turned out recently. The polish that I used to remove the paint is for metal. So yes, it left the plastic very shiny and smooth. Literally a mirrror finish. Now it's ready for paint again and the next go at NMF.

I gotta get me some of that polish for my next BMF model!

It's called "Never Dull" and it comes in a small round can. You can find it in the polish section of various stores. It will polish up bare plastic beautifully. But not paint. It will strip away any paint down to bare plastic. It eats they acrylics like nothing and enamels take a bit longer... :ballbat:

That Quad is looking very smart Stik, and that Sabre is certainly worth saving!

Thank you sir... looks much better now with a coat of OD on there :hmm:

Damn right it is... the build was decent enough, but the NMF has given me fits on the past few attempts... but this time... :ballbat:
fl
on the F-86, today I painted up the polished bare areas with Testors square bottle Flat Aluminum

and then it was a coat of the left over Xtracolor OD that I used on the M55 for the drop tanks... apparently in Korea they painted one type of drop tank and left the other type in NMF due to differing separation properties of the tanks....

another post for the M55 due to PB issues... :headbang:

And I must confess that the F-86 is motivating me to finish it up this time, no matter what...
