I had some time last night to work a little on the pilot and I think I’m done with both of them. Hopefully I’ll get some time to mask and paint the white stripe on the fuse and prop spinner.

Like I wrote on the other forum, I couldn't have done half as well without everyone's help and pointers.

I'm sorry to hear of your brother-in-law, but thrilled to hear he is doing better. I shall continue to pray for his swift recovery.

Way to go on the painting and figures Steve! These figures look fantastic and I am most impressed with the aircraft camouflage. Nice work! I also use Silly Putty almost exclusively now for masking camouflage patterns in my tanks as well as my aircraft.

I will hopefully get several hours on it this weekend as well as my Fletcher, which is is languishing in dry dock at the moment.

All I got to on Saturday was masking the fuselage stripe.

We received a call from the hospital Saturday morning around 10 AM. The nurse said my brother-in-law relapsed and was having another heart attack and they were moving him back to the ICU. When we arrived they were doing chest compressions and paddles. Once they got him stabilized they inserted a ventilator and he would stay that way for an hour or so and decline again. He would be harder and harder to stabilize and in the end the family said no more heroics. He passed away shortly after 5:30 in the afternoon.

He really didn't take care of himself health wise. He was overweight, smoked, didn't manage his diabetes and in the end the body had enough. Sad thing is he was looking great the night before and he was serious about getting straightened out because this had been a wake-up call. The sad thing is he was 6 months younger than I, he wanted to work out with me at the Cardio/Pulmonary Rehab center, stop smoking and start on his diabetes meds.

Yesterday was obviously hectic due to arriving family and arrangements.

Lesson learned. If I'm going to take that flight to heaven, it will be because God bought the ticket not me.
