Hello All, my apologies for such a gap in this review, health issues have taken me from the bench for a while. Back to it... This little kit basically puts itself together, onward to the engine and figuring rigging..




There are a quite a few cool little details covered by the cowling that could be enhanced with some scratch work, and the cover being left off...since I was closing it up I threw some paint called for in the kit instructions to show what you will have.. the is a hint of flash on the tubing









The engine has quite a bit of detail that could be enhanced with a wiring harness ect..




You have your choice of two different props, either one is correct for the two versions of the plane the kit offers,,, I went ahead and used the wooden one, to show the decals used on it. The prop was purposely left uncolored to show what they do not cover...... which is quite a bit.









With a touch of Military Brown and Aluminum paint all is not lost and a clear coat will take away the paint imperfections






In regards to rigging I opted for drilling holes with a micro drill, as the kit does not have pre-sunk spots in the kit parts you have to look for little "land marks" on the the parts to drill them out. I am using .010 guitar string, E-Z Line I think would put too much stress on the parts and possibly distort them or misalign them,,

Wowie, that looks nice. Clean, well fitting....I may have to break out mine! What color scheme are you thinking of.

Going with the Yellow look Lyle

Here is a look after being painted with Tamiya X-8 Lemon Yellow. Next, fastening the wings and windscreens, decals, rigging and the finishing pieces.

Nice paint! Have a ruler to lay out beside it? It seems pretty tiny.

Hope this helps figure the scale Lyle, pretty small in comparison to the huge 1/32's that I've been building.

Conclusion: Revell hit a homerun with this one in my opinion. There simply wasn't any drama with this kit at all. All the pieces are well fit with no flash, the decals went on like nothing and for the price it is hard to beat. A modeler can choose from a U.S. Army or Navy scheme given from the kit, and with the amount of detail given in areas like the engine cowling, it would be a snap to scratch some detail and leave it open if you wish. If you stick to the kit's 83 or so pieces, you still end up with a very nice product.
