Negative...it's black.
Funny thing, most pre-shading barely shows through the color coats in pics....this one, it's amplified for whatever reason. To the eye, there is not that much contrast, as seen in the pic...and what contrast is there, will end up toned down with the clear coats and weathering.

MM enamels are all I use...and Minwax gloss lacquer.
Decals are done.
Nice and simple! I usually HATE decals, but when their only a small handful, and they do well...I like em...a little!
One issue...the instructions showed the "E" being white...which would make sense against the black sides...but the decal sheet only had a black "E". I replaced it with a white E from the spares box. A bit of digging, after the fact showed that the E should indeed be black. I had to remove the white E, repaint, regloss and put on the correct black E.

Awesome as usual. How did you get such a perfect demarcation on the tip of the spinner

Danka!
I used spare wheel masks that were "close enough".
Washed, flat coated, and down to the final fiddly bits!
Although they were shown in the instructions...the kit didn't have the proper exhausts. I had spares from Eduards 110 kit. They needed to be cut a bit and have some detail added.
Almost done!

Fantastic work—I really appreciate how you tie everything together with just the right sense of proportion between the colors, decals and details.

I second this.

You need to give a painting seminar at one of the IPMS Nationals some year!
Stunning work man! I can't even dream of doing such a fantastic paint job; it's too far above my skill set!

Thanks dudes!!!
Man...I don't know that I could teach/explain how I do things (other than the obvious)...I just kinda
do it...bing, bang, boom...there it is!
Got this one wrapped up!
The only items on this that weren't in the box are the exhausts, antenna wire(stretched sprue), and I replaced the pitot tube with aluminum tubing.
