Yep, that's how I do it too - one of the few advantage of brush painting!

Jump on the Hudson after completed the too much layers needed of humbrol 23 (on the blenheim too) and starting upper colors with humbrol 27 (the nearest color i have for the suggested color), a first layer at the morning and a second during afternoon
