Wow! Really interesting. Are Spitfires and 109s flush riveted (I am thinking about the sequence in the movie “The Aviator”). Thank you both for such amazingly crisp detail shots!!!

Thank you guys!

@Bruce: Seriously, I am inspired by your artistic pictures in the Thunderbolt build !

@John: Quite interesting "contrast" between the rivets in the 109 and Spitfire, wonder why so ? Looking at Eduards 109's, there are plenty rivets on the fuselage. Revells is almost "naked" of them

Spent some hours tonight and took the the first baby steps with the cockpit.
I had already yesterday prepared the bits and pieces, in other words primed them with One Shot Primer from Mig Ammo.

And tonight was then time to shoot a layer of MrPaints RAF cockpit color.
I have told it before and I say it again.. absolutely wonderful color!

That ugly sink mark will disappear under the seat, so no panic !

I used the decals provided by Revell. Does not look that good, hence no close-up picture of it... :bag:
I would really need to buy a "punch and die" set for these kind of situations. But they are very expensive, 50 euros or more..

As said earlier, there are no seat belts what so ever provided in the kit, so I need to order AM belts. They will be textile ones... I know, I was pretty critical towards them before... but, njaeh, they are good. "Damn" good! :-D
Let's see what next!

Color looks perfect, Kari. Shame about tools — RP Toolz is 68 euros; Waldon is 48 euros; and then there will be shipping costs, too. Congratulations on your steps! The cockpit looks great!

Thank you, Kari. Your work is exquisite! I really appreciate the feeling of usage you achieve with dials, switches and linkages in a working environment!
