Emil Redo Redeux? Favorite subjects are worth doing over so have it, Kenny! FYI... all of Bruce's photos show as broken links.

Yeah! “Emil Redo Redux”! I like that!
Sorry I haven’t posted an update in the past day, me and my family got knocked on our collective asses by a nasty stomach bug on Sunday night into yesterday. I didn’t even feel like working on models yesterday (that’s how you know it’s serious).
Anyway, here’s some good news- we’re all eating again *AND* the kit arrived in the mail from Scale Hobbyist, yesterday! It’ll probably take another week or two for the PE stuff to arrive from Eduard. Which, that’s fine because I want to finish my current Emil, and get some more work done on my G2.

I don’t know about you but I take the time to do research and actually read instruction manuals. I’m not sure how you do this with Eduard... and I look for kits! I really really like the FW190 Series F-8 and I think I may have a lead on a 1/32 Hase kit with a full complement of AM being sold used...

Bruce, truth be told, I never conducted much research before, aside from reading Wikipedia pages. That changed though, with my “Emil Do-Over” build, going into this build. I’m reading Galland’s autobiography as you know, and also reading about the Battle Of France, and digging up whatever I can find on JG26, specifically photos of aircraft. And of course, seeing what you do has inspired me to dig up technical information as well...
I also tried looking at kits this afternoon. That was a good idea, because I just bought this:
There will always be a special place in my heart and in my modeling for American warbirds like these. Once I’ve built her, she’ll look real nice on my shelf next to my little boy’s Warhawk, too. Shit. Actually, now that I think about it, she’ll make that Warhawk look like shit and I’ll have to do a Warhawk Do-Over HAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!
Thank God scale plastic kits don’t cost as much as fly fishing gear.
