I have never had so much wrestling work with one pair of seams, Duke. I know their idea was to build an accurate overhanging edge but it’s out of scale, and causes a series of misalignments. I believe the builder template for them must be the usage of a lot of clamps... and I am not a clamp guy. Any join under pressure to stay together eventually breaks... at least that’s what I believe. I know with the 251 halftracks the bottom floor doesn't have a positive fit but can sway a few mm to each side. That thrown in with side walls and top it's a giant headache. Then trying to get the rear end tacked on to the C models is tricky too the D's have a simple flat back that makes them alot easier to get into place.

That is great intel, Clint. That is exactly what I mean—why make the walls of the kit—the foundational elements we are talking about—fit in a tricky way? There’s that great moment in “Reign of Fire” that comes to mind—oh wait, I have the internet so I can show it!

Why oh why must we have to build the foundations out of thin plastic without slots, tabs or tongues and how do we make that square up true? Plastic has warp and weft to it, too. Plus whatever the plastic is or was once, was weird... like it came out of a stony lair.
