It might be Friday but I still have to work tonight, but then just one more night and I'll be off till next year so a lot of time to work on this hunk of junk lol.
I'm going to try and tackle the rust brown tomorrow I was afraid to work the surface to much today so decided to let it dry out before going on. Not sure what I was thinking to begin with by painting them streaks in the first place. I'm going to add the chevron above the cockpit but that will probably be the only decal I add. I remember reading somewhere before that the 3m reflective tape was used for lining up the model on the stands. Not sure if its true or not. On a side note your screen name just clicked in my head Graflex, one of my other hobbies is saber building. I haven't built one in around 3 years but the last one was a Graflex hybrid for my cousin.

Yep—photography and Star Wars, two of my layers wrapped in one name. Sorry tonight isn’t a night off, though I am happy you will be off for those weeks ending 2018! And I was gonna ask about this too, but I was feeling kind of nit picky already, and you really did a beautiful job redoing the exhausts.

Wow! Incredible work! And nice save on the exhaust staining. Looks great now. I've started a Y-wing so I'm picking up tips from your build. :shoutout: :shoutout:

Been working on the base some its a slow job since I'm using gorilla glue it takes a long time to cure and you have to clamp it but when its set it's there for good. Here is some photos of the base so far let me know what you think. I'm going for a Echo base scene.

I dug in the spare parts bin and pulled out some interesting things for the observation room behind the Falcon. Not screen accurate just wan't to make it look busy.

Also start building the generator too this will also server to hide my power lines going into the falcon.

Here is the photo that I'm basing it off of

Again I'm not going for 100% screen accurate but just close from what I can do with spare parts and whatever else I find laying around.

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Wow, I just got caught up with this Thread. What amazing work you've done already! Brilliant job adjusting the exhaust stains. Is this the 1/72 scale model? I really want to get one of them!

Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks Duke! Yeah it's the 1/72 kit. The LHS has a revell repop of this kit been thinking about picking it up but I really don't see me building another one.
